Pie Crust (Freezer)

Pie Crust
4 cups flour
1 ¾ cup butter flavored shortening
1 tablespoon sugar
½ cup ice cold water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 egg, beaten

*Cut in flower and shortening with pastry mixer until mixture resembles small peas.  Add in sugar and salt.  Mix well.

In a separate bowl, beat together ice water, lemon juice, and egg.  Add to flower mixture and mix until ingredients are moils. 

Divide dough in to 5 equal balls and wrap in wax paper then put in freezer bags. 

*To Serve: Allow dough to thaw at room temperature 30-40 minutes.  Roll out and use in any recipe.

    1. Yes the batch can make 5 separate crusts. This is super handy for holidays or family gatherings.

  1. Just thought I'd let you know that there are a couple of grammatical errors. "Flower" was put in twice instead of "flour". And then... "ingredients are moils." Not sure what "moils" was supposed to be. I'm guessing "mixed". ??? 🙂
